Description: The paper presents preliminary results of botanical research conducted on the south-west coast of Paramushir island (washed by the Okhotskoe sea), near Krasheninnikov Bay. Plant resources of the area were preliminarily assessed, the list of vascular plants (about 150 species) was compiled, herbarium material was collected and main types of plant communities were described. Some floristic findings were of particular interest: a new population of Hedysarum nonnae Roskov, an endemic species of the Kuril islands as well as Taraxacum shikotanense Kitam., supposedly, a new species for Paramushir island.
