Константин Яковлевич Грот (22.06 (04.07).1853–29.09.1934) – российский славист, архивист. Второй сын академика Якова Грота, брат философа Николая Грота. Член-корреспондент Российской академии наук. Был одним из учредителей «Русского собрания».Закончил историко-филологический факультет Санкт-Петербургского Императорского университета, ученик В.И. Ламанского. Студентом был награждён золотой медалью за «Разбор свидетельств Константина Багрянородного о южных славянах». Степень магистра получил за диссертацию «Моравия и мадьяры с половины IX по начало Х века» (1881). В 1883 г. становится профессором по кафедре славистики Императорского Варшавского университета. В 1889 г. защитил докторскую диссертацию «Из истории Угрии и славянства в ХII в.» (1889). В 1894 г., после смерти своего отца, К.Я. Гроту было поручено издание его трудов и литературной переписки на средства императора Александра III. В 1899 г. К.Я. Грот переехал в Санкт-Петербург. В 1905 был назначен заведующим Общественным архивом министерства Императорского двора.В 1905 г. в «Новом сборнике статей по славяноведению учеников В.И. Ламанского» К.Я. Грот опубликовал статью «Карпато-Дунайские земли в судьбах славянства и в русских исторических изучениях». Это очерк позже был положен в основу изданной и несколько раз переизданной в 1914 г. монографии «Австро-Венгрия, или Карпато-Дунайские земли в судьбах славянства и в русских исторических изучениях».В 1907 г. под его редакцией вышла монография «Галицкая Русь прежде и ныне. Исторический очерк и взгляд на современное состояние Очевидца».В 1914 г. написал брошюру «Великая война и карпато-дунайская монархия (К освещению вопросов недалёкого будущего)».Автор исследований об известных славистах: А. Будиловиче, П. Кулаковском, М. Лавровском, В. Ламанском, Й. Первольфе, И. Филевиче и др.После революции в течение нескольких лет управлял вверенным ему Архивом. С апреля 1925 по ноябрь 1929 г. работал научным сотрудником Пушкинского Дома (сверх штата).
