When comparing the phase composion of SHS TiNi-based porous alloys, produced by both closed and flow type reactors, with specimens additionally annealed in vacuum, it’s to be noted that the thermal contribution of the gas flow is sufficient to form segregation zones around the pore, but isn’t enough for complete recrystallization. Moreover, segregation reduces the strength of porous alloy, since the TiNi-Ti2Ni interface appears, which is the site of crack initiation.
