It is known that the overexpression of oncogenes in tumor cells, which are necessary for their growth and development, is often achieved through amplification or selective increase in the number of copies. Amplification of various oncogenes in tumor cells is an important prognostic factor for the development of cancer, and may also change the approach to drug therapy (chemotherapy, hormone therapy, targeted therapy) of tumors of various locations, including breast cancer [1]. It is now known that the frequency of occurrence in tumors of all localizations (177 types of tumors) amplification of the long arm of chromosome 8 (8q), in particular 8q24, is the most common copy number aberration (CNA) and occurs in more than 30% of all samples [2]. In this regard, it seems relevant to conduct a full transcriptome analysis of gene expression in a breast tumor with amplification of the long arm of chromosome 8 during preoperative chemotherapy.
