Description: Styphlus (Styphlomimus) orthochaetinus (Reitter, 1916), comb. and placem. nov. is redescribed and illustrated. The species was transferred from the genus Pseudostyphlus Tournier, 1874 to the genus Styphlus Schoenherr, 1826. Key for S. orthochaetinus and similar species and distribution map of Styphlomimus subgenus are given.
