Description: A new harvestman species, Graecophalangium antalicum sp. nov., is described from the Mediterranean Region of Turkey. The general morphology of the new species is similar to that of its congeners, but differs in the following characters: male palps long and thin, much longer than in other species; ultimate segment of chelicera with four apophyses and prominent distal lobe; penis with wide and elongate base forming about one-third of its length; glans dolabriform, with short stylus. The genus Graecophalangium includes eight named species distributed in the Balkan Peninsula, Anatolian Peninsula, Lebanon and Turkmenistan, although one is regarded as nomen nudum and needs to be formally described. Amale and female of G. antalicum sp. nov. are described, diagnosed and illustrated. The only known locality of the species is mapped. The holotype and paratypes of the new species are deposited in the collection of the Institute of Systematics and Ecology of Animals, Novosibirsk, Russia (ISEA, curator Dr. G.N. Azarkina). Digital images of the new species were captured using a Canon 650D camera attached to an AmScope Simul-Focal trinocular stereomicroscope and prepared using Helicon Focus image-stacking software. When photographed the specimens were placed in dishes containing 70% alcohol, and mounted by the legs with insect pins. All measurements are given in mm.
