This work shows a study on the investigation o f the deformation behavior o f the surface layers of TiNi alloy by the method o f the local static loading - instrumented indentation. Our data suggest, that under loadings from 1 up to 300 mN, the deformation behavior o f the surface layers o f TiNi alloy, depending on the shape o f the indenter’s tip (Vickers and Berkovich), are corresponding to each other.
