Пётр Данилович Драганов (1 (13).02.1857 – 7.02.1928) – уроженец Бессарабии, российский филолог, историк, этнограф, библиограф, педагог. Родился в семье болгарских колонистов в с. Комрат Бессарабской области. Закончил Болгарское центральное училище в Комрате (1875), затем учился в Кишинёвских прогимназии и губернской гимназии (1875–1877), потом в Харьковской гимназии (1877–1880). По окончании последней поступил на историко-филологический факультет Императорского Харьковского университета (1880–1882), продолжил учёбу в Императорском Санкт-Петербургском университете, закончив его в 1885 г. со степенью кандидата. В 1885–1887 гг. преподавал всеобщую историю и церковнославянский язык в Солунской Кирилло-Мефодиевской мужской гимназии (Салоники). В 1888 г. был назначен учителем русского языка и словесности Комратского реального училища. С 1893 г. преподавал русский язык в Кишинёвской женской гимназии. В 1896 г. стал младшим помощником библиотекаря Императорской публичной библиотеки в Санкт-Петербурге, где занимался литературой славян и галицийско-русскими книгами Рукописного отделения библиотеки. Из-за тяжёлого материального положения вынужден был уволиться из библиотеки и вернуться преподавать русский язык в Комратском реальном училище.В 1906–1912 гг. П.Д. Драганов работал инспектором реального училища в Астрахани, директором учительской семинарии в с. Ровное Самарской губернии. В 1913 г. возвратился в Бессарабию и был назначен директором мужской гимназии в г. Кагул. После оккупации Бессарабии Румынией румынские власти издали указ о сохранении гимназии и предложили П.Д. Драганову остаться её директором. Он отказался и вернулся в Комрат, где до выхода на пенсию в 1926 г. преподавал болгарский язык в Комратской реальной школе. П.Д. Драганов является автором более 100 историко-литературных, этнографических, филологических, библиографических и критических работ. Его статьи публиковались в «Журнале Министерства народного просвещения», «Историческом вестнике», «Известиях Императорской Академии наук по Отделению русского языка и словесности», «Русском филологическом вестнике» и других изданиях. Часть его работ так и осталась неизданной. Большинство исследований П.Д. Драганова знакомят с бессарабской и балканской тематикой. Много работ он посвятил А.С. Пушкину. Пётр Драганов был основоположником македонистики в России. Важное место среди его работ занимает «Македонско-славянский сборник» (Вып. 1. СПб., 1894). Он вызвал многочисленные отзывы, в т. ч. и критические. Другая его известная работа – «Пятидесятиязычный Пушкин, т. е. переводы А.С. Пушкина на 50 языков и наречий мира. Библиографический венок на памятник А.С. Пушкину, сплетённый к столетию его рождения, 26 мая 1799 г. – 26 мая 1899 г.» (СПб., 1899).Он участвовал в составлении болгарско-русского словаря, опубликовал первый универсальный указатель «Bessarabiana», где перечислил источники и литературу, вышедшую за 100 лет со времени присоединения Бессарабии к России. Среди многочисленных работ П.Д. Драганова есть и исследования, затрагивающие русинскую тематику.
