Researched microstructure, phase composition and heat resistance of materials based on Ti3SiC2 nanolaminate obtained by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis with partial replacement of carbon atoms in Ti3SiC2 crystal lattice by atoms of boron. Studies have shown that titanium diboride is found in foods with a boron content of 0,2 and 0,5 mol.%. Test on heat resistance (temperature 800 ºС and aging 30 hours) showed that the investigated work materials based on Ti3SiC2 compounds are characterized by high heat resistance in comparison with titanium carbide.
